GGM Groundscare crowned champion in prestigious industry award

The Colne based Kubota Groundscare dealership is celebrating after scooping the top accolade in a prestigious industry award. GGM Groundscare has been crowned “Professional Turfcare Dealer of the Year” in The Service Dealer Awards, beating off stiff competition from across the UK.

Service Dealer magazine is widely regarded as the voice of the garden machinery and professional turfcare sector and its annual awards are the highlight of the industry calendar. Designed to celebrate excellence, best practice and customer care, finalists are selected by a judging panel from nominations submitted by dealers, manufacturers, and suppliers. The winners were announced at a glittering awards ceremony at the Doubletree by Hilton Oxford Belfry, presided over by comedian and actor Charlie Baker.

This is the second time that GGM Groundscare have received the accolade, also scooping the title in 2014.

GGM is a specialist supplier of tractors and high-quality professional land-based equipment for commercial and domestic use across the North-West and Yorkshire with depots in Haydock and Colne. With a proven record of delivering a trusted service and exceptional after sales support, driven by a set of deep-rooted values, GGM takes pride in building long lasting customer relationships, based on anticipating needs, solving problems and delivering on time, every time.

The judges said of GGM Groundscare:

“This excellent dealership has a real focus on customer satisfaction with a genuine customer-first approach. Their commercial clients are quick to praise their extensive product knowledge, their desire to make sure customers have the right kit for the right job and importantly, their speedy responses to make sure their downtimes are minimised.”

The award win rounded off a fantastic year for GGM Groundscare. The company was reaccredited for ISO accreditation and as a Kubota Gold Service dealer, standards which the company has held for a number of years. It also committed to a year’s sponsorship of Greenfingers, a charity which builds therapeutic gardens for children’s hospices, with staff taking part in the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge to raise vital funds. The business also committed to becoming a Living Wage employer.

Managing Director Chris Gibson said:

“We’re absolutely delighted to win this award for a second time and are thrilled with our achievement. The Service Dealer Awards really are the best of the best, and the fact that they work on a nomination basis from our customers and suppliers makes them all the more special. We certainly rounded off the year on a high, however we’re not resting on our laurels and we have some exciting plans in place for 2020.”
